Outreach with the Society of Women Engineers:

         Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a national organization that is committed to giving women engineers a place and voice in the engineering industry, education, and careers. The SWE chapter at UCSD is a student run organization that ensures these goals are met within the university's community.
         During the winter quarter of my first year as an undergraduate, I decided to get more involved with SWE and joined the SWE Envision Planning Committee. Envision is an annual outreach event SWE holds at UCSD, where we invite female students from local high schools and share with them the potential science, technology, and engineering opportunities they can choose to major in. My role in the committee included contacting sponsors as well as acting as an historian and taking pictures of the event. Some of which I have displayed below.
